There used to be two primary modalities for words – spoken and written. Today, we have many more choices. Words can be used beautifully in conjunction with other media – pictures, sounds, movement, graphics, etc. – to come closer to expressing what you have to say.

My approach with every project is to ask, in this order:

▪ What is your message?

▪ What is the best medium for your message?

▪ Then, and only then, what are the right words?

▪ And what other elements are needed?
